World displacement is just called displacement now. It might not show up default depending on what version you are one, might need to enable a cvar, it was basically removed from view for a while when they first rolled out nanite. -

Projection baking didn't really get popular til post 2000 iirc. The first version of Max to support it was I think 5.1. I wasn't using Maya much at the time but it's had some pretty advanced features for a lot longer than people realise so I wouldn't be surprised if it got there first. -
Convert UVW to mesh?
I would like do a morph animation from a flat version of my mesh to the regular 3d version in 3dsmax. The flat version i would like to get from my uvw, so i need to convert the uvw to a mesh somehow. (if you want to get the portable licenses as well) And the Pro version is more feature-complete, offering advanced rendering and simulation systems that don't exist in the free version.
