The best way to convert from Y-up to Z-up is to rename the files yourself, and use an image editor of some kind to rotate/flip as needed. Rendering in Max requires the program to resample everything, which often creates seams.
Not sure what your weirdness is specifically, but for me it has been improved quite a bit. There is added functionality and it doesn't automatically re-order the list when you create a new layer. There is also a batch renaming tool in it that is quite nice.
There
may be a TMP file in the same folder, you can try renaming it to AI and see if
this opens. Helped me on a couple of occasions but also has not worked in the
past. If it useless, there is a good program: Illustrator Fix Toolbox https://www.fixtoolbox.com/illustratorfix.html
Usually when this happens, i rename the following folder. C:\Users\[USER NAME]\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2013 - 64bit Then start 3dsmax 2013, it will create another settings folder. All your settings, custom scripts will go.
It was untill I found a fix...very simple fix! I went to my docs/maya and renamed the prefs folder to prefs.old, the restarted Maya and rejoiced when everything worked. It reste myshelf, but hey I can work again :)
Hey guys, Just looking for criticism / comments on my work: http://www.simonburford.com/ Do you think I should move the other / unfinished work to the top and rename it to props or something? Even though I didn't create some of the models? Thanks!
You must rename the object from JPEG to OBJ. I really don't know how how those Non-Planer polygons happened around the top of the mesh. Hopefully someone know how to fix without turning the quads into triangles.
Updated today to version 1.5 -> Renamed to Replace rather than swap, as it replaces the bone, but does not swap the weights. -> Improved UI -> Cleaner better Code -> Can go both ways, Bone1 -> Bone2 or Bone2 -> Bone1 Same Link :D
I installed the 32bit version now but now I have the problem that my file associations are all set to x64 version. I renamed photoshop.exe to photoshop.exe_0000 but still not able to re-associate the files with windows tools. Its so annoying.
@rexus if you didn’t modify the Program Files directory you don’t need a fresh install. Just go to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax and rename toe 2017 folder to 2017.old. This will reset all the setting.
