Can't you ask for money back for your MODO? Guess it's a bit late for such comment but you chould do subscription plan which would be $10 a month and easy to cancel via Steam. 801 was way way way more stable, that could have been a good choice.
I forgot to mention "remap pixel values" thanks Tzur_H for covering that. Though it only apples to Modo 801, for earlier version that's not needed. Also depend on your target engine, you might need to use handplane to convert it to tangent space normal map. Xnormal is sync with UE4.
The Bamboo Create is a decent size, don't worry about the pressure levels, I doubt anyone can actually tell 256 and 512 apart. Monoprice also has some good cheap tablets http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10841&cs_id=1084101
Looking good! cant wait too see how it holds up with normals and AO. 80K tris isnt that much really. I do think your gonna get a lot of nice detail in there though, it can most likely hold up pretty well even for closeups.
I'm interested in those notes! I'm looking at the latest project 8 screenshots and I don't see any ao, bounce or direction soft shadows, also a lot of the environment appears to be vertex lit? I'm a wrong? http://media.xbox360.gamespy.com/media/803/803274/img_3876001.html
A 1k rpm isn't that high for many 4 bangers. My V8 95 dodge ram idled about 800 rpm, and my i4 06 ford focus idles around 900rpm i think. Techsmith: his first post says its a 1996 Toyota Camry
Teamed up with [HP] on the Game Artist - Scene from a Movie Competition http://www.game-artist.net/forums/scene-movie-competition/8708-sfam-weyland-corp.html Hadley's Hope from Aliens Making modular pieces which he will be importing into Crytek2 Engine. Last nights progress
Only thing left to do is that "Big Win" achievement. I managed to blow the 80k+ I had illicitly gotten (cheated) to unlock all the games... then earned almost 100k legit. Now I just need to "win 100x your bet in Spinners"... anyone managed this yet?
looking better. I really like the bottom high poly, i think you can get a low around 800 tris for that and have it look goof, make sure to get rid of the faces you are using for anything. papa pope showed me this day. had to comment on it.
anything... geforce 6600 and better, or ati X600/800 and better should run it. I would suggest a 8800 GT or similar, you can get one for around $100, just make sure you have a pci-e slot(may have agp in a system that old?).
