great! to each their own. i tried to texture a full character in 1.5 trial during the texture challenge they sponsored. i found all the lackings from Photoshop (like i mentioned earlier in this thread) to be overwhelming and costing me time and quality. so at the end of the day, as a freelance contractor i cannot justify… -

Knowing how to sculpt cloth is super important for character artists, and on some purity level I agree with torch, but I also have found that md is a huge time saver when it comes to making base meshes for your clothes and simulating top level wrinkles, which is amazing for freelance when speed is a factor. Yeah, I did that, but years after working in different jobs (QA, Film/vfx, freelance). If you're going for it, try to just spend more time on what you really want to study, and what position you're aiming for. Drawing, modelling, and animation might be a lot to focus on altogether.
