I can vouch for this macro, it's been making UVing a breeze... well breezier than it usually is in Modo. Speaking of Greg Brown.... Here he is at GDC giving at demo at the Epic booth. [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhSGeQmagcU[/ame]
Hey, at least it didn't have the involuntary camera switches ;p DX:IW certainly wasn't a good game compared to the first one but... these days I like to think of it as the last Deus Ex game that wasn't tainted by the whole "hollywood epicness" notion :\
My guess as to why this doesn't concern Epic is because making floors out of many small pieces like this is inefficient from a performance point of view. So you should avoid it for other reasons other than just the specular problem.
This is a sweet-ass thread. The balrog is badass and Glorfindel already looks like one majestic-ass Elf. I also am really excited to see one of the epic tales from the Silmarillion come to life, it's much needed I think.
Thank you again, you manage to clarify every doubt i had. =) <Side note> I didn't even knew that texture array was a thing, I thought that it was all done in a 'messy' material; Good to know that Epic will implement it in the future.
Thats an awesome concept! Blockout looks good although the concept art seems more epic than yours currently. I think the round bit in the middle needs to be bidder and the walls need to be a bit taller. I am excited for more!
Really impressive stuff man, love those arches and thanks for the breakdown explinations. Also good to see XSI being put to good use, xsi users are a minority here. Awesome portfolio aswell, why arn't you working at Epic. :)
It's got some epic CSI-level of computer illiteracy all over it. Maybe they should have whipped out a GUI real quick in Visual Basic to track down their IP numbers. [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkDD03yeLnU[/ame]
The amount of love and effort you put into every piece of work you do is epic Scott, i honestly cant wait to see what you do with this diner theme, diner aesthetic is so appealing :) that humble small town atmosphere
Pretty awesome so far. I started on Normal and thought the game was "OK", but then I restarted on Hardcore Hard mode and now every mini boss fight is an epic life-or-death struggle and I am enjoying the game much more.
