Yea I would try both, Have you been doing a lot of importing/exporting into the scene? Possible the hyershade is getting cluttered with junk. I would just grab what you need and export them into a new scene.
I think you ought to make the ruins environment look like the reference. The reference is incredible, but your 3d version seems unfinished. Your tree pales in comparison, it looks squat and not majestic like the reference. Adding in a skybox and background is easy to do in Unreal, you can whip that up in a day. If this…
Great, thanks. Would it be possible to get a copy of this scene to debug? The easiest way is to go to File > Export > Scene Bundle and zip up the .tbscene and /assets/ folder. You can PM me a link here or email to joe@marmoset.co.
saw it on Artstation, loved it. You got the for honor feel almost perfect. For honor uses a little bit more of fog and smoek everywhere. That would add to your scene. and also particles from fire, Debris. Great scene however!
Id like to see a bit moore breakdowns of your scenes. Maybe just a shot of the wireframe and some texture flats. I also think its important that you state that the scene was rendered in UDK or whatever programm you use.
Heres an update, I felt the scene was a little to dark and boring so ive increased the lighting and introduced some more color to the scene. ps ignore the roof completly as its just blocked out with a random texture thrown on it atm
Progress with blocking is coming along with base mesh. I did a redesign on how I will place the ohialehua tree in the scene. In top concept. Different topology on the egg forgot the quads. Scene looks way cooler silhouette is reading better.
This sort of thing would be a fun challenge ... given a scenario, set up a scene that tells that story. Or, I guess even better, create a scene that tells a story and if the judges can work out what you intended then you succeeded.
Looks BETTER than real life. Love your balance of color and light. Great job with scene composition. I have a lot of trouble with that sort of thing. Could you give us a few pointers abt scene composition?
Lighting looks really cool but the overall scene looks a bit empty as it is now. I can tell you have work left so before I make a fool out of myself - what are you planning to add to the scene?
