Thanks for the feedback Slipsius, I haven't made any sculpting progress yet so it is just the imported model, the image is just showing where I am at the minute ill replace it with an update sculpt once theres more progress :)
If you don't need to get to close to the houses in the final product you could use procedural materials and then render to texture with an auto unwrap. Another way would be to just unwrap like 20 houses, and then duplicate / replace all the others.
oh animations... true. you would have to make a whole new set of animations with the new model on its own rigg and replace the files on the game haha...or somehow make the animated skeleton from the original fit this new model.
Hmm. So you're using only one dominant directional light and no other lights? What happens if you turn on the cascaded shadow maps in the light's properties and go close to the blobs? Do they disappear (and are they replaced with proper dynamic shadows)?
Looks really nice, but you got blue and orange as complementary colors, theres no need for a green, id replace it with something from the tones you already have. Blue / Orange , Red , Yellow Also it has 0 surface information
A bit of an update, tweaked the lighting and started working a little on the backdrop. I also started working on a tiling birch bark texture that I will combine with a more unique base. Don't mind all the placeholder bark textures for now :) They will be replaced
@Blaisoid, thanks for the advice and yeah was gunna replace the older images soon anyway :) @mask_salesman, thank's for the advice, and leather coated shields aren't that rare @Sn1pe, yeah they have come back though I wrote that quite a while back
By default the blending for height is set to linear dodge so under details in the height will propagate. Select the height channel and set the blending of your layer to replace , if you are inside a folder you also have to change the blending of the folder to passthrough.
I'm with Eric. Someone worked on those designs, the packaging is part of their brand. It's best to replace them entirely. It's also important to note that sometimes the packaging is also subject to copyright, so if you're scanning in ketchup bottles or something like that, be careful.
Re the DropBox thing. Yeah it can indeed be slow at times. There should be an icon on the folder/file you upload which looks like a little blue 'refreshing' icon while it's uploading which is then replaced with a green checkmark when it's done.
