Thanks, figured a lot out, but still cant get the panels to look like proper cs6 ones, also from the jsx in the panel is there a way to #include my jsinc files from photoshops script directory?
if you hover your mouse over the very top of the tool bar (it should show a paint brush stroke) you will see all the options for ways to use the brush. This includes straight lines, shapes, etc.
I was so excited to see this included in the March release of UDK - I've been following that thread for a while. I'm a sucker for anything Sci-Fi. Getting to 'play around' and see how he did that was awesome. :)
So we've got four so far - what about everyone else, including the OP? Seemed like there was more people interested towards the beginning of the thread, excluding those traveling from outside England!
i think you overused filters. the reference looks like it's mostly hand painted, including the damage. whereas your finished asset seems to have noisy overlays on the entire texture. just my $0.02
If you want state of the art for this check this out: http://advances.realtimerendering.com/other/2016/naughty_dog/index.html Vertex shaders, but after a lot of fudging used for all foliage, including trees. More importantly it's incredibly fast.
I installed Crysis, as well as the SDK. The SDK includes some examples and one of them... is a tank! So I opened the max-file and took a screenshot of the tracks. Pretty basic for the low-poly I guess...
since this is mostly referencing side-scrolling games (from the images anyway), would it be ok to include stages from a game like DOA or Tekken? (just for the style, but i guess to be presented in the manner outlined in the specifications)
Next, I thought about the Composition. I'd like to create a dynamic splash, including Corki's abilities. So, I think 3 or 4 fit best. Let me know what you think!
There's a ton of other audio tricks that can be much more worthwhile in games, including actual good sound design. And on top of that everyone can implement their own way of having 3d audio, nothing is stopping anyone.
