Had a talk and presentation by Oskari himself here in my school :) a lot of insight to the development of Alan Wake. Developments been about 5 years approx, and they felt to be in a fortunate position after the success of Max Payne 2, taking a 2 year break, and wanting to do something new, they decided to take their time.

10 years ago the ratio of pretty, to content, was around 2:10. now it's 10:2. i realise textures take up memory and all that jazz. but come on... can't i have ONE game that not only looks good, but takes me forever to finish? Gothic 3 did a good job...
I bought a graphire and an intous 2. The tilt options are very useful for me, and actually had never set them on to something useful on my Intous 2 before until earlier this year, and for me the difference was night and day. Now my tablet behaves more like a pencil or pen would. Alex
Pretty sweet model pumbaa. I'm actually going to be getting one of from my girl's parents soon. No crits really, just a question about there being 2 plugs. Is there usually 2? So far as the polycount, not sure what this is for so it's hard to comment on. Keep at it though, it's looking good so far.
2 probs for me, 1- floor in top down shot is crap, plain and dosmt fit, 2- hrizontal line in cordor(with trees) dosnt work, would do if it was broken down or something. also env is nice techniquly but doesnt have creative catch. something to draw the mind into the space, and give it reason.
Set up a basic Vertex Paint material and started blending the textures together. I made 2 versions of the material, one where I was blending the AO with the Color, it gave the models more depth but it also made the scene a lot darker and noisier, Here is a comparison of the 2 materials. Hi, i just finished 4 blend shapes. first 2 of them are just fine, and the last 2 are "empty". When i hover with the mouse over the layer it says shape:"empty". So, do you maybe know how to fix this problem ? i tryed creating new layers turning on and off record, it just dissapears.
Hello Polycount. Here is a M4A1 I made some time ago and would like to share. I was making it everyday after work for 2 hours about 3 month. Made it from inside as well. Its using just 2 id maps and totaly of aprox 15k polys. Hope you like it and share your citics with me :) Best of luck
Hi everyone, I'm looking for 2 features of Quixel Suite 1 in Quixel Suite 2 and I cant find them. Where is the option that we could decrease and increase the texture resolution for better performance and second where are the rendering options such as background color, etc. I will be appreciated if you help me.
