[Concept Art] Abbadon Set
Hello everyone! I decided to try to draw concept art for Abaddon. Soon he probably will in the workshop. And need a Russian-speaking people, who are interested in this work. In the future it will be possible to try to create this set. Meet the "Cold Death" Pencil sketches -

Yep 100% digital. Pencil, pen, then fill layers and alpha masks for shading. I have it set up through Dropbox so I can send the .PSD to Procreate and back. In the image above, the left one is done on my computer and the middle and right were done in Procreate. -
Re: How to draw character shadow maps?
No, no! It's not suppose to be programming! I just want to be able to draw (like actually pencil and paper) full body shadows like you see in real life. Maybe "shadow map" sounds technical but I thought it was a layman term for any projected shadow. I'll edit the title if that was the confusion. -

x_x coming into maya now...... maps exported from zbrush. yea i cheated a bit on the render with some photoshop curves and chromatic aberration >_> also edited his jaw a bit slimmer, and his neck a bit thicker. was worried about pencil-neck. crits welcome and appreciated! -

you need to "tie up" the nasty mirror edge on her face, it's really noticeable on the nose and mouth nice overall, need a more love though. the pencil concept with no eyes is cool. dont draw eyes ever again! Even better to crop out all the bad bits -

i got some feedback from lecturers from the previous iterations and have started some more deisgns though i'm not sure what to do with them just yet. first i worked out some poses then i sketched over them shading values with pencil -

I'll be going, for sure, but like you I have no idea how they're presenting it, or in what room. I get the impression that it's mostly focused on the talks themselves, but it mentions bringing a pencil and paper if you want to draw things, so it's kind of a mystery. A mystery with sharks and possible booze. -

Weiser_Cain: try putting a sheet of paper on top of the tablet when you paint.. it will feel more like sketching with a regular pencil. Mister Sentient: i use a wacom volito, the cheapest one they've got. it works as long as you arent used to drawing with your whole arm. -

You should totally come, Yozora - don't feel weird, it'll be fine! Shall I pencil you in provisionally? There's no pressure, though - I wouldn't want you to feel like you have to come, if you're uncomfortable.
