Design question: Does this gun have a camera / sensor system to track and identify targets? Looks like it could use one to really bring this feeling more down-to-earth. Also, where is the ammunition feeding into this sentry turret?
Just learned about the (not so) new material layer system, watched some Epic videos, read documentations and in the end figured out they put the development on hold :/ Too bad, looked really promising, hope they continue with it in the future.

use a warm-up time in the particle system, I think it's for the entire emitter, not per module. Use something like 10s or something. It can incur some expense for this, so the lower you can get away with, the better.
@DDuckworth no reason they cant add in all the nice features like layers, subtools, a zphere like system, more brushes? and sell it as a cheap less cluttered sculpting only alternative to Zbrush while keeping the current version as is and free.
i'm waiting for this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_tablet The only downside is the android operating system, but i'm sure someone would be clever enough to get windows running on it. And with a base price of around $350 you cant go wrong!
Loved when I saw you start this in class and I love it now. Do you have any break downs on hand? Edit: Also how'd that cloud particle system you were working on turn out?
Frankie: As I explained earlier, our game is system memory limited, not video memory limited, since it is open world and currently doesn't do texture streaming. The texture isn't converted to DXT until it enters video memory.
Nope it's in General tab Ref Coord System = Constant https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/3DSMax/files/GUID-86205F0D-6143-432A-B0D4-5CCC4DB2699F-htm.html
I think there might be ways to do it using a very elaborate shader system. Might help if nothing has any textures or UV's. Obviously being 'Real-Time' the results won't be as elegant but if the market is there I'm sure it's feasible.
