God I remember that show and all the action man style figures that accompanied it. I imagine it follows the same style as the new show? I can dig the new art style and may give it a watch to see what they've done with it. But I'm enjoying the work you've produced, especially the fish with the top hat. :)
Hey man, I really like that storm spirit concept. The only suggestion I have is to do something with the hat... It's a little boring compared to the rest in my opinion. Just my thoughts. also I really like how you're using texture in that concept. Lookin forward to seeing more of our work.
Yeah Vig, that one and this one, http://www.teamfortress.com/images/posts/Dm_concept5a.jpg are my favorites, though I realize why the one I like wouldn't work(looks like the heavy, it would have been neat if they left the little hat and dress(I am aware of what they call it, but I call it a dress)
Yea . I don't plan to put it in any game. If i put it ingame i will give it some stuff, like the hat and weapons, stuff like that. I mainly wanted to use it for renders. I love cel-shade rendering. I can do alot of stuff with this base model, time to pimp kirby.
Digital Tutors got bought by Pluralsight,t hat's why. You can texture with Mudbox, but a lot of the professional developers here are on Substance Painter/Designer and maybe Quixel. You should REALLY look into those for your texturing needs. Mari is out there too, and has a noncommercial license. THat's a VFX standard.
I LOVE THE TAIL, is realy that bad idea?... it may have movent... it could be thicker too, or have a pendulum.. isntead of a tail post a diffuse only shot... hat is that? i tried so hard to match the textures... my brain is making something else... why wouldnt this work?.. it will look undotastyleish?
Needed a break from my current project so headed over here for some inspiration. Loved what i saw, so thought I'd throw my hat in. Have got a marmoset scene uploaded over at artstation if anyone wants a closer look. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/abJBJ
Well, I figure I might as well try and do this right. So I put together a ref sheet. Going to do a western steampunk bullfrog. I guess most of the western influence will be the trench coat and hat. Then I'll have some kindof of hydration pack/mask and random gadgets.
I like this piece a lot! My first inference was The Joker, because the blue shadow across his face looks a bit like his smile makeup. If that's intentional, great. If not, you might want to re-examine the hue/saturation there. Under his hat is a different shadow color, maybe match that?
These images are of the panda with a simple diffuse texture, i still need to generate some kind of normal and specular maps so Zbrush will be used to help generate normals. This one has the panda with a Chinese paddy hat, this will be a changeable part within unreal, the other will most likely just be a trouser colour…
