Update #3.1 I'm making this update to keep this thread active and to show something little that I've changed and added. First, I added two basemeshes: a platform where the brazier stands to make the environment around there more vibrant and busy. And I think I have managed to achieve that effect, and I also added fences…
This is a live recorded music thread :) . Though i do like their sound. Sounds like Bush. EDIT: I tried to find some good live recordings of them but i couldn't. Maybe i should elaborate as to why i love live recordings so much. If you have ever played in a band, you know just how much stuff goes wrong when playing live,…
So far they seem happy to cause chaos and leave it at that. In LA people where stray painted, beaten, mutilated and left for dead by roving gangs out looking for any face that wasn't friendly. All in all 20-25 people died in the LA riots? And the military had to step in. I'm not saying its a race thing in London, but I…
Thanks for the feedback! I've added normal map tweaks and dampening the tiling effect to my to-do list for the roads, along with getting faded ends working right. Apologies if constant thread updates are getting annoying, I'm kind of using this thread to keep tabs on my progress each week. It's been a busy week in the…
Hello again friends, a few days later and I am just about finally done the High-poly, my next step is the smaller parts such as the various screws, nuts and bolts. I am going to export the handle and main piece under the power dial to Zbrush to insert the details that indicate the power-level, after such I shall begin…
There is a difference between gaining "fat" weight and gaining "muscle" weight, ideally you'll want to gain on the second. The more lean muscle mass your body have, the more it will auto consume calories to maintain its volume. So working sounds like a good idea. I ll personally encourage you to find a sport you like.…
Looks good! Lovely Cthulhu-esque scene. If I had to crit it I would say look at where the walls meet the floor, its one of the first things I look for. Add dirt in the textures where it would build up against the skirting boards and maybe the piles of dead leaves (decals maybe?) from the concept. Your scene is a little…
If you haven't checked it out yet there is a very handy script for carving up tiling meshes and converting them to texture atlases. http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/texture-atlas-generator As for the problem with AO, the 2nd UV channel seems to be a logical way forward if you have a lot of unique shadow details.…
Here's my latest work, loosely based on the IAR-80, a Romanian fighter plane from the Second World War. Converted to a salt flats racer. Features the original 14 cylinder radial engine with a gearbox that drives the stub wing mounted solid aluminum wheels. The rear wheel is taken from a larger bomber and features a regular…
Haha I was looking forward to your post Kharn! I actually just started learning all those hidden aspects of Japanese gardens from this book I'm reading for research concerning this project - just learned about the gravel being symbolic of water and it's ripples :D As for the long intervals between work updates, that's…
