I use it a bit. It gives me a bit of trouble, but that's because the interface is so crazy. I'm taking more of a liking to it over time. My usual apps of choice are DeleD and Fragmotion, but they have their limits that act as barriers to my work. It's certainly much better than Blender. They have some nice video tutorials… -

1) Yes. You can either: - Set up each object individually in RTT then select them all and click render, it will batch process all the objects. Unfortunately they will all go into separate files. - So I suggest you create a copy, merge all the objects into one, and render it once. Then delete the copy and apply the material… -

Hey Render! MOI indeed is a fantastic program, very well laid out. It gives that nice 'nextgeneration of 3D package' feel somehow. UV coordinates always range from 0.0 - 1.0 they are not described in sizes such as 512 x 256 but always 0.0 - 1.0 because they are described as floating values within that range (although you can place stuff outside, but usually when textured it gets looped).
