Haven't read all other post just last and it looks good but i just must say for portfolio piece its not so good to do a canon pretty unoriginal (i mnot the one to talk about it if you look at my folio but just a tip for future work.)
Just checked it out, that looks utterly fantastic! Although I'll be sticking with crazy bump for now, because I want to make sure I have a firm grip on using it to it's full potential. I appreciate the feedback and I'll definitely be baking In future models, to try and nail that too.
Hellstern: Why thank you! :) andyvargas: Thanks for the encouragement, it's very helpful in making me put in the extra hours and effort. Taking me a while since I'm learning alot as I go, and testing different techniques for future projects. Dreading the point where I'll need to retopo.
Good point. I planned to make it as a transparent sticker first with some tear and weathering, but decided to go with an aerographic-style painting in the end. There's some roughness added in texture for the graphics, but difference is pretty subtle, so no wonder that it looks like it's a part of original coating.…

Hey man, I've been following your work recently, It's Amazing. These are some of the best textures I've seen come out of SD. Would love to see your process. Do you have any tutorials online anywhere? if not, are you planing on making some in the near future?
For anyone that may be searching for this in the future... Marcus on the ZB forums found the problem. "For some reason turning off Wax Preview in the Render Properties will mean that the next GrabDoc operation embeds the Red Wax material, turning the image red." He is going to look into it further. Seems like a bug.
I think I remember encountering a similar problem once. I fixed it by switching my driver (preferences>viewports>choose driver) from DX10 to DX9 (Back in Max 2010, I didn't have the same problems in future versions) But that might not be it. Still worth a try though.
Feel free to leave any critiques guys. I'm done with this guy. But I'm always open to more pointers and tips I can use on future projects. One of the biggest Critique I get is to add more scratches/dents. And i will definitely take that into account moving forward.
