CrazyBump LINK Space age normal maps from the future. $100 for personal licenses. FileBox Extender LINK Nice little app to tweak a few basic windows ui things, very usefull. Xnormal LINK Xnormal, bitches. Use it, its fucking free and awesome.
Would recommend the c# direction. As competent as some visual scripting systems are becoming, they are all specific to a certain engine, so if in the future you switch engines you're back to square 1, whereas actually learning a language you can carry this forward for the rest of your life
Perhaps you should just forget about your portfolio for a second and think about the art test as your future :) . I guess that they would not mind answering some of your questions regarding the textures size and so on so instead of guessing just drop them a line.
yeah well I already made something in the middel haha. this is my next update for now. I will give the white shirt some cool detail on the top and offcourse the jacket will be more defined in the future. Maybe the belt will get another color. I will hold that open for now.
Yeah I picked up a 120 gig tonight. Haven't transfered everything yet or even installed it yet. Figured I might as well for future use. Plus now I can pick up an arcade system for my wife and she will have a hard drive
Vito: if you need help getting up a real database system, send me a PM. It is the kind of stuff I used to specialize in (and sort of still do). I'd hate to see you manually correct thousands of HTML files that may need to be updated again in the future.
Further Progress: - The overall set is small, sort of inspired by Spiderverse movie set they used for one of the dive shots - Cables were pretty tricky, but I figured out a pretty decent way to make them for now. In future, I would have to use Geometry Nodes in Blender or Houdini for this kind of thing.
I wasn't trying to put you off if that's how it came across - just trying to give you an idea of what I would be looking for. In my experience tech artists are hired for what they could do in future, not what they have done in the past - that's certainly how I look at it.
@sacboi Thank you man! Haha yep I used AP for post processing. @Kanni3d Thanks man! Yeah that's a pretty good point! I'll make sure to keep that color balance in mind for future weapons! @j@Jakro Thank you soo much man! Cheers!
@Obscura Btw how has your experience with RTX been so far? I recently got an RTX 2080 8gb. Do u still use gpu lightmass or you have switched completely to RTX? I am thinking of going full rtx with future projects.
