This is basically what the "triplanar mapping" in Substance Painter is. And you definitely can use it - but I wouldn't use it as a replacement for UVs. I will often use it for applying extra dirt and grunge to models. But the base textures use UVs. -

Thanks man for the video! Im watching i just watched it. Ill try adding a turbosmooth level 1 and see how the bake is then replace the object with the old low poly in substance and let you know if it worked. -

Modelled in the wires, those internal rollers ended up being replaced with uncharged magnets that hold the arrow in the middle. Probably a few more things to finish off on the bow, though I'll be moving onto modelling the Archer. -

Currently all the different banners have been replaced by just the DOTA2 contest banner as a static banner, is that what you mean? I'm not having any issues clicking it to go to the forum homepage, though. Got screenshots? -

Massive fan of the mx518 and if you can get hold of one, definitely go for it. As a resonable replacement (still falls short) i use razer deathadder 2013 and it is as close i have ever gotten to the sweetspot of the mx518. -

Managed to work a bit on the Lion (still got a long way to go, specially around the eyes), will be replacing the Battle skirt, and a few more things. Hopefully my next post will be a bit more closer to the finished version. -

Finally figured out how to take High Res screens and Kismet...I feel so noob >_< . Also I switched over to Imgur to host the bigger images. Going to replace the ceiling beams/support texture
