In crysis 2, the interiors of the buildings were split off of the exterior as 2 sepperate meshes. the interior is then placed in a VisArea, which will block the sun's ambient light and lead to better interior lighting. then you can place various small lights and anti-lights to fake some global illumination.
Also remember when you do save to default, it actually also save your current uv channel as well, so if you editing uv in channel 2 and save to default, it will automatic be in channel 2 every time you apply uv to your model instead of 1..
Bodhwell, i agree. 2 and 4 suit more for a warrior, they may have a too aggressive look for his personality. :o I worked on the punk look the past 2 days and like the way it turns. Will dig more but i think i will go for a punk Rakan. :3
I'm wondering... what the 2 tones in front of each light are supposed to be? Also, I'm not sure what is Ambient 2 ? It would be nice, instead of having a bunch of large windows showing every details, to be able to build a list of colors with just the resulting shading. :) Nice work overall
Oh my god, I Lost James Pond 2 in my house when I was 13-14, looked for it forever and never found it again, still think about it all the time and where it went! still have my street fighter 2 and original sega though.
Yeah, deferred rendering seems to help when you go from 2 to >2 lights, but the second light always seems to cost an extra drawcall per material/skinned mesh, and then additional lights after that are free. Not ideal, but at least makes the 3rd light in the scene above free!
jarrod, despite what anyone says, i do not believe that, matrix 2 and 3 were so far detached.. its ok if you guys disagree with my views on pirates 2, I don't mind you guys disagreeing if you don't mind being wrong!
in the UVunwrap modifier set the channel to 2 and then hit the reset button - if you no hit the edit button you should see the 2nd channel and be able to edit it. appearently it's a customer wish which is why autodesk implemented it that way. It took me 2 days to understand that - very bad design.

Whoo! 7000! I was really damn lucky. I had 2 super boosts in a row, then used 2 red aerials. I was like 270m in the air and so damn fast that by the time I went up and came back down, I had gone 1000m's. Wang!
