Try to calibrate monitor at work with an I1 xrite something. Works well on screen, really easy. can'T do shit on my cintiq, everything is bleach after it try to calibrate. Anyone know why and what to do ?

May be something to do with the lp then. As i started by sculpting in mudbox i just pulled down the subdivision level and used that as my lp. Here are a few screens of the lp, uvs and where the uvs split around the head.

Yeah I really struggle with that. I like accuracy and realism so it's hard to find a happy medium between real and what looks best on screen. ...speaking of, how's this for boring realism: A simple black parkerized material.
Good news guys, i donloaded the mentalray, after fix the black screen bug, i rendered it in mentalray and it worked, the problem problaly is because maya software don't support normalmap =|, thanks everyone for the help -Ghost
Head and tail are likely mirrored as well, so the point is moot. Like Reza said, the wings occupy much more screen space than the head/tail and therefore would benefit most from a higher resolution.
Went to see this with the kiddo, was pretty great. The 3D hurt my eyes, but probably due to the poor screens the theater has. I liked it more than LOTR because it wasn't as serious of a tone and had more humor.
