very nice, the scarf design is def the best part (besides the face) as it has a strong sense of design. The rest is just... lacking. If it weren't for the blue underlight u'd have a lot of grey in there, I think it would be a much better piece if this tetris design appeared in some fashion along the legs.
i'm no professional but I find it helpful to look at other peoples wireframe models and brake it down. DL UE4 install a Squad or Ark dev kits and then import their FBX files into your 3d software and have a study. Its a good way of learning because you see whats required.
ok update: about 20-30min more work. More rounding out and tweaking. C&C would be appreciated. also does it even look like a women's face? o and tri count is 3462 (body + bra). head is 690 so far. I def wanna stay
i dig my PS3, only negatives ive found is that: - plugging it in causes a ground loop - locoroco wouldnt work w/o an HDMI cable - didnt include an HDMI cable, or component cables >< gogo Hi-def. - requires seperate aparatus to transfer PS2 memory card data to it
Last time was alot of fun. I do my best to make these events because they tend to keep me fresh and interested in the industry. I thank Tony for last years because it inspired me to learn more. It's also a great place to network. Def. bring a sheet of paper or sketchbook. :)
I finished that kitten and took a bit of time this morning to take some lessoons learned on kitten and bring them ovver to this. Still some tweakies to do before i update them in my folio though. Fishyface is coming up next. oh dear. That's gonna be a lot of work.=O
That's just the pictures giving it that feeling. I did about 5 coats of paint and wet sanding between each coat , then fallowed it up with 4 coats of gloss. It looks great in person heh (looks professional) the results are pretty sweet, i def took my time and didn't rush it ^^
Yeah, I'd say Fraps is the best choice. I could get decent results on my less-than-beefy machine. A friend's monsterous work machine captured video at something like 60fps (sorry, I don't have the specs for it, but i know he was doing dev for the 360 on it)
as renderhjs said you should make the edges of the unwrapped cylinders straight for a cleaner unwrap. Here's a good tool to use for that http://www.chuggnut.com/ just goto Scripts>Unwrap Tools These are def looking good so far, you just need to push them a bit further and they will be great pieces.
Thats just... Amazing, really good eye for detail. The low poly is perfect. The only thing I can see thats a little strange is the pointy fingers... Damn thats how next gen should look, somebody needs to let most of these "next gen devs" know already...
