Id say yes,ive gotten jobs off TCE and the about company x forum is good for getting anon insider info on potential places you would want to work in the future. Its also good for getting insiders/non artists perspectives about the industry.
A few questions just out of interest that might speed up future responses: What quality lighting are you trying to build? What are you trying to light? What results do you get building the lighting with lightmass turned off? What are your computer specs?
Just found out the studio I'm working at is being shut down so i'll be looking for work. Anyone that comes across this, please share it and feel free to message me about my experience. Links to my portfolio are below, I'll be updating it in the near future. Thanks!
I cannot wait to see more progress, specially the environment. I would really appreciate if you can do something like a timelapse for your future work on this project. However, I do understand that it takes time to do that so I will not complain if you can't :)
Made some cobblestone today. I can just get lost in Designer for hours tweaking things. back to reality and off to bed! (I think i underestimate how high quality the images is allowed to be here, will post more high res in the future) G'nite!
Congrats to the Airborn crew, I've been waiting for a playable version of this for a long time (and it looks like I'm not the only one). I'm downloading as we speak and I'm expecting great things. Good luck with the Make Something Unreal contest and good luck with future updates to the game.
I would like the final sculpt to be quite detailed, I ideally would like to have the bandages as separate subtools then bake the normal's down into either a plane or a cylinder. The reason for this is I would also like to develop a workflow for modelling/sculpting them in the future for different projects.
I think I'll focus on this forum in the future. I've been posting in all of them a little, but probably best to stick with this one. It is awesome the amount to talented artists here, can't beat it. @Jason: That's a classic, try to make this seem like a Tony Robbin's self improvement course.
[ QUOTE ] Now they just need to make it real-time [/ QUOTE ] Too bad it's "Reel Time" hahaha. Hopefully someday soon we will see that level of effects in games. Who knows we might even see it on the 360 in a very watered down version in the distant future?
If I'd wanted to have bigger space for car, i'd had to rotate it diagonaly. But i didn't see anbody do it that way. I agree i could made it better, but i think its too late now, but will sure think about it more on future projects.
