Hey, I managed to get all the maps baked, however still get some warnings in the log. FBX out of Maya seemed to have the same results. While everything works, id be interested to discover how to fix the error in the future. :) Attached is the log Much appreciated!
#3 was the favorite but I dont want to go so far into the future so I made some similar models with wheels. Now I just have to choose one of these and finish of the details, draw the rider and Im ready to start the 3D probably next monday :poly142:
It's so weird seeing XSI support still. Seeing it work with UE4 was really cool. Softimage and UE4 have their own visual programming, so it'll interesting to compare the 3. Looks like everything is going to have node based scripting in the future at this rate, with Substance as well.
Jason Young, AFAIK you cannot get "canvas updates" as an event for script. A friend of mine who makes PS plugins and is in PS QA team said that he asks Adobe for something like this for ages, maybe they'd implement this in CC's future updates but until then it's not possible.
AH, thanks man! I've never really thought to do that, but I might have to give it a shot in the future. Seems like a good way to get past the "Blank Canvas Curse" that I run up against so often when starting a hand painted texture.
did a paintover just to have some concept in my "hands" ^^...im really slow and lazy with 2d so that is not a real final concept, but as i said is just to not lose the point in the future, i think i will change some proportion and ad other details during sculpting..
Thanks guys, I'll post wires later today, Thanks for the crit, I agree with a lot of it. I think it's too old of work to go back to it now but I will remember for the future from the mistakes made here. :) the breakdown is in the book so I wont post that here.
ahhh yes you're right. rendering uncompressed works! Is there any way i can fix my windows mp4 encoder? so that i can directly render compressed h264 vids with accurate color in the future. If there isn't its fine too. Thanks a lot for the help.
Which is why many of us don't like it, but are curious to see how Valve boys will polish the free future version. Valve isn't all about hats, so I'm pretty sure we'll get a nice portion of the stuff cleaned up to a mirror spit shine.
Id say yes,ive gotten jobs off TCE and the about company x forum is good for getting anon insider info on potential places you would want to work in the future. Its also good for getting insiders/non artists perspectives about the industry.
