Visibility, distance, context etc here would be nice. If this thing does not get viewed any closer than what you have in these screen shots, you could collapse quite a few details and just rely on a bake to represent those details.
I assumed texel density - which would be a sensible thing to settle on. working it out what you need is simple enough - its a function of screen resolution, camera FOV and view distance.
Is the left click and mouse down on the model that zooms out to fill the screen a new feature? If so, has anyone had issues where its making the tablet zoom out unconventionality when your zoomed in and painting/sculpting? Not even lifting the brush!
Here is a little something I have been working on. Would like to know if anyone has any feedback before I move on to the low poly. I plan on adding small details like vent screens, bolts, etc. using NDO2.
<Update> Hey folks, Some screens of a character I'm currently working on. An ancient, rugged Elven male character, imbued with some sort of corrupting power. I'm currently texturing, sitting at 20k tris. C&C always welcome :D Rough concept Sculpt Texture progress
I liked it, even though it was absurdly stupid, but I laughed my ass off! go see it if you are into Adam Sandler type movies. The game in the movie "Demonik" looks really good check out some screens here: http://screenshots.teamxbox.com/gallery/1153/Demonik/p1/
Hey Polycount, I have a strange request. I am modeling an AR-15 for my portfolio, and I need screen caps of people saying how terrible my portfolio is and how it does not contain any guns. Can you people oblige, or is that too weird? Thanks in advance.
Hello. I would like to ask you about weird bugs on my mesh after dynameshing in Zbrush. As you can see on the screen on some straight edges there are sometimes very small bumps. How can I fix it ? Even partially ? Thanks.
The handling of the sliders is the same as this technique. http://www.monotoneminimal.com/archives/506 Thank you for the information Mark Dygert, now I have decided the way of materialID and not composite. On-screen management is faster with sliders.
Hello, I tried that but I felt that with the way the armor is bending It did not look good except when looking from the front. I will share you the screen with the paint marks. Thanks for the compliment !
