i7-5820K is $300 from Microcenter, 3.6 GHz boost, 28 PCIe lanes. i7-5930K is $500 from Microcenter, 3.7 GHz boost, 40 PCIe Lanes. The i7-5930K is only better if you need those 40 PCIe lanes. That extra .1 Ghz isn't worth $200. -

Hopping the bandwagon with these options: Eizo EV2450 @ $660 Dell U2515H @ $580 Dell U2414H @ $330 I think the 2515's price is a ripoff, but I have a limited range of choices in my location. The 2414 is temptingly cheap, but I'm generally cautious about Dells since my current 2209WA (my first LCD) has suffered color… -

personally I have a single GTX 580 and can run BF3 on ultra easily so maybe that'll put some perspective here and there. Also unless you're planning on GPU Rendering and FX (top of my head Fumefx/Vray) you don't need a 4gb card as no game will take advantage of it. -

5820k MSI x99 sli plus 32 GB ram 980ti 1 1TB SSD + 1 2TB HDD At least that would be close to my dream setup. That build you linked seems like a bit of a waste. -

Here is my first take on the animation. I took a break from ligthing and shader work and did this. Tomorrow I will post some renders. So the idea for the animation is to start looking at space and have a reveal moment for the Normandy, then you see it approach and finally docks. [vv]58684809[/vv] -

Still deciding between 256MB ATI FirePro V3750. and 512MB NVIDIA® Quadro® FX 580 ATI have good reviews so far and I couldnt find a good review for Nvidia. Who knew that making of entry level work station would be such a 6 month worth of hassle on just deciding. :(
