I tried buyin it before the beta went up last night. However, my crappy phone couldn't connect to the site i kept getting 502 errors I knew i should've bought it earlier oh well.

in general if you hear about weights it usually means that something will be associated with a number value, usually between 0 and 1. So if you have vertex A and vertex B, and you have Arm and Foot, if vertA has 0.2 weight to Arm and 0.8 weight to foot, it will go more towards the foot. And vertB has weights like Arm = 1…

Here is the first update 0.2, still VERY RAW. It doesn't flicker anymore and works on currently active Editable Poly or Edit Poly Modifier. Still need to rework the Zoom part. Get it here. Evaluate and find it under category "IllusionCatalyst Tools"

I'm sure Autodesk are working hard on Viewport 2.0 (when actual fact it's more like Viewport 0.2 in its current state!) but time will tell. Log a sug, the more logged the faster Maya's new Viewport will be developed: http://autodesk.com/maya-sug
Update: I have since moved onto a GTX480, there is a very small amount of selection lag (0.2 seconds), on a 1-mil poly mesh which is acceptable, if a little annoying. @throttlekitty, I have had aero disabled ever since I upgraded to win7.
