The best way to do this currently is generally with two cameras. There isn't a way to do split viewports at this time, but that is something we will consider adding in the future. Switching to spinners for the transform boxes is on the todo list, though I'm not sure when we'll be able to add that. Thanks for the feedback.
Cool. I've been watching the recent Quixel Mixer videos. Really excited on what this tool can offer in the near future. I might have missed it, but I was wondering if there's a way for users to share there work to the community so that others can learn from their work.
Other than the obvious (every stage in Vampire Savior), there's this [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mM25DFV7q2c"]PURE STUPIDITY in the Disco of Timesplitters: Future Perfect (PS2) Online with XLink - YouTube[/ame] Ok this video's a bit stupid, but it shows off some of the map's interactivity.
Hey carvuliero! Thanks so much for the in depth response. I didn't use the amber anywhere- that was messy leftover from another piece. This is my ref material: That video is very interesting, ill certainly be looking at it in the future when i make more weapons like this!
And to the Prawn model... wow... I'm hoping to become that skilled. If I can create a model that is that well anatomically correct in the near future, I will be a pretty happy guy. Looks pretty darn good. :) Oh and to the one 'horrible' vote... thank you for your honesty. Lol.
Thanks for the feedback. I avoided using booleans in this one because I found that it messed with my topology too much, but its something I'm considering learning to master in future projects. Here's some shots without wireframe, I will start on the LowPoly and unwrapping soon.
if you are in maya learn arnold... autodesk bought solidangle so its most likely arnold will be the standard for maya in the future... no need to learn different render engines... if you know one you are up to speed in a short time if you have to learn a new one....
With mesh fusion, the clean UI I could quite seriously see modo as the future and leaving autodesk in the dust, right now some aspects are still playing catch up, but its getting there, i'd suggest picking up the basics now while you can.
In the future you don't need to tell an online community your age :P The internet is anonymous, and if you make good art here, or ask good questions and put in the time and effort to learn and take advice, it doesn't matter how old you are :) With that said, welcome!
Amazing stuff Tim, loved the grenade tutorial and with Maya as my primary software the tutorial was still very easy to follow and I learnt a lot from it. Bought the AKM as soon as it was available. Great work and I hope to see more tutorials from you in the future.
