http://www.onshape.com/ This looks promising for CAD workflows. I could see building a weapon in it. It allows non-destructive workflows. It saves every step you make.
BIGSOG: Second that :) That weapon turned out really nice, any tips on how to get those sweet renders with udk? ;) This is going straight to my inspiration folder :)
Was wondering what's going on with these, if there will be more videos? Was looking for some texturing information and remembered this thing. I was really looking forward to seeing that Weapon Demo Scythe textured.
On a more serious note : Keep at it, practice, sketch the weapon from multiple angles on paper, and don't create 3 threads about the same thing. Then everything will be fine! :)
Looks nice. Only real nit picky things for me would be to lower the rotation/wiggle on the weapons and have them more steady and that goes for the head aswell.
For weapons I would also suggest the Hand painted tutorial from Tyson Murphy (it helps me a lot): http://3dmotive.com/series/hand-painted-texturing.html
well I think this will be my ref sheet, Lets do some doodles , and I have to prepare a ref sheet for the Broadsword, the weapon I will make in this set.
