Ya the 2 packages can do a lot of the same things but do it in very different ways. The java experience will help with python, I would recommend python over Mel for Mayas scripting, since Mel is less powerful and mostly just legacy now. Though Mel is needed if you have to modify existing scripts.
The rails are quite close together, and the bend in the middle is a bit odd. Most electric trains have the third (powered) rail on the side; for those with the rail in the center, the rail is almost always at the height of the other two. You might want to take a look at some of the other details for ideas - the tunnel ribs…
...great! Going to grab this on Steam :) about CB - I doesn't seem to get developed anymore. B2M also integrates nicely with Designer and together with the batch tools it's quite powerful. We got full licenses here, so I didn't have the time to check - but it would be cool if the batch tools would be included in the Stream…
@huffer yeah! that's what i meant! So i just need to retopo my already soft edge high poly, bake it in substance painter, and all is good? @Dash-POWER that is some good tips :o can you explain a little bit about tessellation shader tho? I'm quiet curious about it.
I've also got a question which may relate to the Max/Maya integration. I can understand doing VFX like fire and swirly lights for power ups etc, is it a bit different when it comes to particles coming from a weapon, for example. So particles coming from a mesh? Or is it just as simple as a parenting to the mesh thing?
Thanks for the comments lampoly, as for poseing her I consider ok trying some more. She's good, but not with a good manner. She has the power of ice, as she shots beams of ice. I would think some more and see what I can do, and IF I have the time to touch more into it ;) Thanks anyway
Ok hi! I haven't posted updates since I've been power-rushing this piece through the last few days but here are some process shots: 3D base to get the lighting right a base poses for each character. @Cavins I did choose that one but with a few changes :D Glad you liked it!
that's clever. most 32bit programs will still be limited to using 2gb max ram though. nice for multitasking I guess. ...but yeah, this would have been more useful some years ago. But I'll check that ramdisk program out. Might be useful for my netbook for caching video files and preserving battery power by not accessing the…
Guess you need to type faster Emil..... I do like where this is going Fink, love the under powered looking rocket pack. This guys going to need to get a running start, well maybe an attempt at a brisk walk to take off. The one that that does seem odd to me is the boots. They just seem to flat on the bottom.
That I read as well, though unlike the Titan X we can expect to see custom cards which might be overclocked even. Substance Painter performance depends so heavily on the type of memory on the graphic card? Are you sure about that or you just want to wait for the next generation to have more power in general?
