Yeah had to go a round about way to get it done, took longer then I would have liked. But I ended up animating a single seam around a motion path and then through a little trial and error taking an animation snapshot which basically just duplicates it around the path. Then combine. =P
All these Armor with replicate parts is a hell of a pain, in the past we use alpha , now with the ability of 3d /2d details needs to notice , sometimes I'm wondering how crazy we are spending a hell of the time in "pause preview" to see the errors ..... at least now we have better guns to fight B)
been working on the lich wheel, gone be done soon. here is how i devidet the concept into optimal parts for texture space usage. the yellow parts are unique the other ones are all duplicates. finished the bakes, now only need to place the duplicates fix some baking errors and finish up the textures.
almost finished working with base mesh. Time spent: 3 hours (base mesh). I never made weapons. And I do not understand it well. (please tell me if you notice an error) I can not make a normal screenshot (I'll fix it soon) I will soon add details. Thanks to all!
Once again thanks @carvuliero I thought I had her height ate 7,5 head, but she was a bit short on the legs, I fixed a few of the errors you point and I will work a bit more on her tomorrow, any more things you or anyone spot feel free to tell
OMFG they are inside out! must have been an importing error when I put it into Max from Xsi. I tried to loosen the control edges a fair bit on this, are there any places that stick out as being too tight? Whats the best way to set up a scene for rendering a high poly model?
have you ever installed any custom maya cry tools, if so check your output window and see if you get this on the top Fatal Error: Failed creating shelf directory: //fs1/TECHART/Tools/CryMayaTools/shelves search for a similar environment variable in the registry and remove it. that should fix the delay.
Mmhhh.... I think I found what I needed! In here: https://www.shadertoy.com/view/4sSGDc It is webGL and it looks good! Now my problem is to convert the shader's equations to Three.js (my framework).. I tried for a few hours, but I just get loads and loads of errors, and the shader can't be compiled!
oh man that heartbreak thread is epic! on a serious note, i think its important to differentiate between personal oppinion and actual constructive criticism. Often people give well written feedback but its unclear if its just what they like/dislike/prefer or if its, say, an actual anatomical error in the model.
To elaborate, this is not the ankle twist bug, when using FK/IK sliders in CAT, but it happens by just hitting the Animation Mode Button in CAT. In set up Mode: Set up mode Animation Mode: animation mode So if anyone has a solution to this error, i would be eternally grateful. Thanks Scott
