Looks good, like the real. My only suggestion: downloadable versions of Reel, Resume, and portfolio images. Lots of employers keep directories of these things for possible future hires. Give them that resource and you'll up your chances for that "we'll be hiring soon" company.
You need more ESP to prevent this from happening in the future. Seriously though, that's a terrible mistake. While at the theatre a while ago, it looked hilarious. They must have had *every* scene where Jim was like "OMG ITS TEH 23!!!" in the theatrical trailer.
Yeah, the industry is going haywire in the UK. So many unemployed experienced artists on the market now. I feel a bit sad for the graduating students and my future self that might or might not have a job in the coming few months. All the best to those affected!
I was goin for as scary as Jim Hensen might get... which is not very. Thanks for taking a look guys. I may do more time lapses of this in the future. Doesn't take a whole lot of extra effort since there's no editing. @Vrav: that's a pretty slick comic.
That's why I'm sad to see this game go ignored, since this was another resurrection of the space simulator genre, which doesn't seem to be all popular, which means that I won't see another proper freespace game. The future will be wing commander on the 360 arcade (
Le dernier combat (the last battle) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085426/ cool black and white low budget movie set in a future where people for a strange reason are unable to talk anymore. Society collapses, women become a rare valuable good and all that.
Thanks Super Happy Cow! Our art director prefers us to use planes for the foliage, but I think I will read up on the sprites for future props. From what I understand so far, sounds like a great way to save tris.
glad I left! funny thing is its not entirely a surprise but hopefully everyone is happy and gets the cash! expect a studio or two popping up in the future (after retaining cash comes through)! Hopefully I can still vest my options! LOL
Canada's 'states' are called 'provinces'. Though feel free to call them states after we get annexed. I for one, would just like to welcome our future southern overlords and state for the record that I'll be first in line to help in keeping the peace.
In the future, you might want to try using a displace modifier. Since it only pushes the polys up or down, you never get intersecting triangles. And it's easy enough to change the look using the controls on the modifier along with settings in your procedural noise texture.
