Re: zbrush vs 3d coat
For sculpting, ZBrush is the way to go if you can afford it. Voxel sculpting is so much fun but it requires a good rig as mentioned by MagicSugar. When I used 3DCoat for the last time, it was impossible(the program would crash) to get the detail you can create in ZBrush with my machine(AMD FX6100, 550Ti, 8gb ram). -

I didn't know about this property, thanks for the head sup. But anyway I'm not sure it will fix my problem, what I mean is if you use a seamless texture in your material and use said material on a large surface, you'll notice the texture tiling (see image). Whoops, somehow missed adam's post about that. Anyways, I didn't mean freeform as in, Belias-anubis-vs-magician freeform (:P), but rather picking something on your own while remaining consistent with the theme of well-known pop culture icons/characters. But hey, list works fer me. :D -

@ Belias: I've shown that thread to at least 10 non-artists who do not visit polycount and they all think it is hilarious. Well, a magician isn't supposed to reveal his secrets, but... Vassago is correct, that's Rainlendar I'm using. The icons are from Matthan's rockin' GANT set that you can find here. I use them for my entire system... Avedesk is used for the desktop widgets. -

When you are submitting an application at "X" studio they will be comparing you with a ton of other applicants applying for the same position.
