Here's a WIP of Nidalee from League of legends I did today. Spent a lot of time tweaking this to get it looking even close to right. Turns out female faces are kinda difficult for me so I'll definitely be doing more of those in the future.
For future notifications if interested you can always set up a notification service with Ryan :( Missed it as well while taking exams. " Well start promptly at 1pm (Pacific time), with no replays later, so dont be late! :) best regards, Ryan "
if anyone was interested in this I managed to talk to someone at EPIC about it and they said there MIGHT be a way of doing it in the future as they need to push an update that will decompress the files to your directory. But as or yet it should be impossible. Also The Paragon workshop is a rumor; If they do it, it wont be…
Tried to clean up the pillar design, have an idea for a warframe like orokin location design but still not sure if I get far enough to make a separate topic for this... It looks way too stupid now, with lots of unnecessary shapes, might simplify it in the future.
@oglu haha! fair enough 😄 but even in construction / building, rule of law applies in the USA and many other countries. And those who abuse it, or short the process in quality to save on cost, will get what they pay for. in terms of reputation, future profit and public good will.
Ok, so I opened up this thread and didnt know it was Racer then was simply amazed by what I saw. Modeling is outstanding and I'm excited to see what you do on the texturing side. Do you plan on making any more tutorials in the future?
that will be a difficult list to compile since there is no real way of knowing for sure what art style a developer is going to use on a future title. just because they have a history with one art style does not mean they will always produce games using the same visual style.
Yeah, the newer builds are amazing! I donated a little bit, so glad to see this being actively developed. Very excited for future features as well, like painting on multiple layers (diffuse/spec/gloss/...), which I'm sure was mentioned at one point.
It's not the history that's the problem,it's the transforms. Make sure you freeze transforms on any object you've duplicated with negative scale in the future. Also, get into the habit of toggling face normals or turning backface culling on in maya before export. It'll show you this kind of error.
Here is the final result. I am calling this done since I spent more time on this than I wanted to. I might come back to it in the near future but for now I am calling it done. Thanks for all the comments, really appreciate the help.
