I'm supposing your are using the "Smooth UVs" tool to unfold? Usually when your results just disappear or turn out fubar it's because your mesh has some errors. Use the Mesh -> Cleanup or whatever other methods you prefer to check for inconsistencies in your mesh. Good luck.
lol it sounds like I'm the only one getting this error: http://i.imgur.com/gPydRDV.jpg Sorry I didn't mean to start such a controversy. Regardless, the imageshack link worked great so thanks a lot for that. I'm working on a vehicle here in a bit and plan to study the hell out of your UV organization.
I'll give that a go tomorrow, I've still got to uninstall the other ones, every time max loads I get a dll error. :P BTW, is this a bug, or am I missing something - I got an alchemist @ level 59, but can't get level 11 on the embers-lightening? :poly117:
Thanks cholden, this is the theme I chose from wordpress. Tried to fix the box with the only coding knowledge I have, but still have some issue with IE. would redo the entire site when I have some time. I noticed the smoothing errors as well. fixing it right now.
Compiling it might spit out an error. CM is the collision mesh viability toggle in Hammer but if you haven't compiled it won't help at all. If the mesh shows up with CM turned on then its a texture issue, chances are the ref mesh is fine and passed a series of checks, because it used it to create a Collision mesh.
Found error. my id map breaked due to upscaling with photoshop... Id map was bugging out in dDo. It was happening on rendering/rerendering when you create project etc. http://puu.sh/iXwKN/cbd15d0f84.png dont use bicubic automatic use hard edges thingy. Lessons learned
Finished building the modular pieces (except the floor) and assembled it in engine. I had a few lightmap errors but I think I managed to mostly fix them. (lighting is extremely WIP and will definitely be changed, mostly just for testing purposes atm) without the props: Next job is to start on the brick substance.
That AI's actually pretty damned impressive. Human errors and all on those hero's, plus each one knows how to use their abilities! I'd love to see 'em find a way to sneak in NPC neutral heros that spawn on the map that teams can fight over, or run away from haha.
I hope I'm not thread jacking but I wanted to ask a newbie question, where are the smoothing errors in Jason's prop? what do they look like? I'm also using Maya and from what I can tell you can either make edges hard or soft and thats about it?
