Awesome. That is what I have been mostly doing. I'm dorking around with adding those "support" edges to ease the stress on those triangles. Finally get some time to work on this! Will post updates soon hopefully! Thanks a bunch for all your help :)
I'm certain I won't finish in time, I have other things interfeering. Don't stress, just make sure it looks awesome. You have a lot of un-needed poly loops here. If they don't contribute to the silhouette, get rid of em.
Thanks @lotet, yeah I figured breaking the day into work like structure would be the most logical choice. It can't be any more stressful than the job I have at the moment and that's probably something else I'll have to get used to. Thanks for the advice!
I got hired at a maya only studio, as a max user. Had never used maya. They didn't care, just stress that you have the ability to adapt and learn a new tool. If you have the base skills, you can switch programs easy.

I recently went from a mgmt/art lead position back to a full-time artist position, and I can tell you it feels awesome. The money isn't as great, but the lower stress level and the greater daily satisfaction are really much better compensation.

This is a difficult industry to be in, especially if you're just starting out. Having gaps in one's resume is totally understandable. My two cents: Don't be afraid to make mistakes, it's part of the job! The quicker you get them out, the faster you learn. Do communicate well and be nice to people. Can't stress this enough.…
I am a little late to the party but last night I started work on a miniature Techie proximity mine. I hope to use soft plastic to keep the price down and for this toy to but used as a stress ball (even with the spikes) because Techies can be so tilting. More details will be added tonight.
