Just in case anyone else is reading this thread, I was an ex Softimage user for 15+ years, and I transported the principles of the Guilty Gear Stylized shader series into Blender as a Blender Foundation Certified Trainer. Check this out >> I also started the GranBlue Fantasy Versus stylized shader playlist >>…
I have looked at this thread three or four times now. I kept feeling like something was really off about your scene, but I couldn't think of what it was. Thankfully, HAL said it for me: Too much tiling! It just demands the eyes look at it, and it gives a very artificial feeling to the shapes and buildings where it is…
Hi everyone, I’m Brandon, nice to meet you all :) I'm searching for the next step in my career. Priority: a great and cohesive team to join, to learn from and to share with knowledge and experiences. I have experience working with stylized and realistic environments. I'm collaborative and proactive searching for new…
First attempt at ZBrush. First attempt at hand sculpting wood. etc I wanted to make the wood look really aged and to have some kind of a purpose prior to becoming a pallet. (battle) Hopefully I will get better at sculpting along the way of doing it. I plan on baking it down to low poly game ready object. For now this is…

I'd love to hear any thoughts or critiques and I'm going to see if I can keep…
Happy Birthday! 28 years is quite the achievement, thanks to everyone who keeps this going! Please keep the theme, it's beautiful, once you get used to the headache.
A bit late, but happy birthday PC! It's amazing how much I have learnt from this forum, I can't count how many times it has saved my ass when searching for information. A lot of sites in the Internet have done me bad in general, but PC is the exception that makes me so glad for having found this site near two years ago.
I didn't have the stones to watch the video - but the photos tell the story beautifully. The change in a year is amazing. Glad to hear that life is working out well. Congrats to you both on the upcoming lil' addition!
Hey PC My and a fellow classmate are starting our 2 month long end of year school project. We've opted to do an environment inside of UE4. We are balls deep in the pre-production stage at the moment, but I thought i'd make a thread to get some crits on this project early seeing how, speaking for myself, pre-production has…
Cool, nice to see this piece textured! Agree with the earlier feedback about the uniform denting, looks more like random noise than true wear 'n' tear. Almost like it was buried in slightly-acidic mud for a few years, rather than worn by years of use. I like the edge wear you have in the previous post (the one with the…
