As a non-animator having to tweak animations and share skeletons I'm really enjoying the CAT system they added to Max. Most of my career has been Max 8 and then 2009, I only just started at a studio that's using 2014; switching from Nitrous to legacy DX9 and turning off gamma/LUT correction got me back to the 2009 goodness… -

I have a Maya 2009 license, I was running on vista 32 and it installed the 32 bit and then I got a new configuration with window 7 64 bits and it automatically installed the 64 bit version... And then Maya is workign perfectly on window 7. there is only one thing still not working in the 2009 and 2010 version : Mipmapping… -

Windows wont let me choose max to open .max files
I installed the 2012 demo and didn't really like it and was irked by the chance I may need stuff to be backwards compatible. So after installing it and uninstalling it my max files wont be set back to 2009...
