Try this : In translucency section check on screen space reflections and in options choose surface volume translucency. Make sure you have sphere reflection capture covering your mesh.
I like the mushrooms. Maybe work on your presentation though? Why is the camera so far away? The effect should be as close to the screen as possible to show off your work.
I've had similar issues before. I would paste a screen cap of something simple like a Web browser window into Photoshop and the colors are immediately off... On the same monitor.
I'd make the preview images FAT & JUICY, rather than having 75% of the screen space allocated to lines of text. The current formatting is kind of sparse and hiding the glorious artwork!
It is on Bitmap but If I change to any of the others I still wont help ? I have taken a screen grab which will hopefully explain a bit better. Large image sorry
Been awhile since i posted on this thread. been working on other stuff. here's some quick screen grabs from Max of the texture. any comments would be appreciated... ;]
aleksdigital : I have no idea what I am looking at ... and I love it :D What is that third screen laying flat on your desk ? Some kind of touch device ?
Really good idea!! Love it so far; i guess you will need a loads of graves too.. For the topology, difficult to judge with the screens you showed (way too dark)
I would aim for something with a new I7 processor, at least 8gb of ram and 2-4 gb of video ram. get a decent screen and the thing will last you a while.
Perhaps what you're looking for is fresnel FX? In this case it's a shader feature, unrelated to texturing techniques. If you posted some screens it would be easier to understand what you mean.
