well Where the window is at the end of the room I'n going to put a photo of a night time skyline. Yeah I could probably do with adding a few more softer edges in! and I am going to model and have some lights on the roof in the middle. Will have a few more toiletries, magazines and misc items around the place too. and…
@oglu Might sound complicated but I tend to paint every asset in my scenes uniquely from scratch rather than re-use a texture. Reusing textures and tiling them sort of kills photorealism as in the real world no two items are alike. If u model on textures already painted with ptex , all you need to do is repaint that part.…
bounchfx: Thanks a lot! I studied all items before I started with my own concept just to make something unique. If it is a good thing or not, time will tell haha! Glad you like it :) whatever: Thanks, warms my heart! :) kendmd: Thanks, that was what I was aiming for, something more simple and clean. It doesn't have to be…
Since you're about to clutter it up, how about a box of glowsticks or maybe even one of those glowy plastic swords from 1. Get clutter + lightsources! Also, queens glow @ night :poly142: Edit: to expand on it, I think you could kill the 'exit sign' mostly so that its still there, maybe a victim Frank's random gunfire or…
Maybe is could be? But then it will need to be multi-layered with a plethora of refractions and prism based light bounce to make things look 'right', and just like Dead-Space 2, this is BS, since we still don't and won't have the technology to simply compress highly function items in an almost paper thin foundation. Not to…
@Yogibear Thanks for the feedback the lighting in my scene is kind of broken right now so I have to fix it but here is what I have so far. @garcellano Thanks for the post yeah it's getting there taking longer than I though it would to get to his point. I still have a few more things to add as well as fix. I reviewed the…
I can't really go to much into that second item from personal experience, granted there are plenty of places around the bay area (*cough*Oakland*cough cough*) where the thought of being allowed to be armed would probably help to deter the crime levels. I have nothing against (*responsible and regulated*) carryng of small /…
Thank you all for comments and critiques...much appreciated! @vegatakeshi88: at the moment i'm using 90% Zbrush and 3dsmax for basemeshes, after the hi-res is finished it's gonna be mainly 3dsmax for baking and photoshop for texturing...the usual softwares i think ;) @RJBonner: yeah i'm gonna definitely tweak the scratches…
Thanks for the tips everyone, the UV real estate is being shared with another item in the scene at the moment. I guess the issue is up in the air...maybe a sticky thread about lightmapping is in order? anyhoo I really appreciate everyone's input and its has helped me grasp what needs to be done to get this sort of thing to…
I took the liberty of doing a quick paintover showing the key areas your silhouette is lacking. Basically depending on where this would be seen now close you could get to it you should adjust your polycount based that. I assume this would sit in a table or hang from a hook BUT as this is a presentation piece low poly edges…
