OMFG, awesome! I'm trying to make a Virtual Tour in UE4 too, but i don't know how many poly's i can use for a model, like the sofa... how many polygon's did you use in the sofa's for example? TKS! and "My dick is so hard it could cut diamonds" too... -

Seems like it might get problems with that stack you got going there. Collaps and run x-form, then try again. Also, if you get weird spinning or other weird behaviour, deselect your mesh, got to Select -> Select Inverted Polygons to see if something is flipped. If it is, flip it. That often helps as well. -

Well the problem with the example shown here is that the polygon on the right has a valid edge connection path between all 3 vertices on the right. If you use connect it will always connect those. Although looking at the script that was posted, it should work, since it should only process each selected face one at a time... -

Are you using a cage? also make sure every different smoothing group is also separated as a different UV island, If you keep them together you bleed light information from the borders of your polygons on top of the other one. Also Can you show us the high poly too? -

Chances are the normals of the inside of the dome are flipped (the polygons are still pointing towards the sky, when they should be pointing towards the center of the bunker. Reverse Normals, then try extruding edges and welding them to the outer shell of the roof. Only other comment is 'how the hell did they haul that… -

Well, polygons are different (kind of) than triangles. A standard poly, a quad, is two triangles, and a triangle is just that - a triangle (also a poly... lol). So, perhaps it's saying don't go over 5000 poly's or 7500 triangle. Regardless of interpretation, I would weigh the 7500 tri's one more as it's more specific. -

gcmp : i mean don't use normal map for every part of the model. es i'm actually doing models with 2 materials and only one use normal mapping where i put all parts of the model that require details i can't do with polygons. vcool : you did it correctly. -

If you're going into a game engine, the panels would be best done as alpha-mapped polygons. The low-res topology does not need holes in it, the alpha map does that. Pretty much the same thing for the dragons on top. The dragon head can be simplified, and the scales along its back could be alpha-mapped on a strip. -

If I could have a live connection between UDK Play in Editor mode (with my 360 controller working even when the window is not in focus) and 3ds max, I would love it. think about it, place a polygon, extrude and edge and immediately test it in udk without BSP, reimporting or restarting PIE. :poly121:
