hey thanks for the answers.it seemed it was a combination of things..a flawed model and replacing some textures that were making the scene extremelly heavy i guess...
This is a Forgeworld version of the model. Not sure whether that means it replaces an existing model in the standard 40k range, but it's probably why it looks different to the older version.
noooooooo, damn you pixologic for aquiring a sculpting program that actually had viewport navigation nailed down perfectly and replacing it with zbrush awkwardness :( lol
It has been replaced by the Color Selection effect. It works the same way but with a better UI and it actually shows the ID mask on the mesh for easier picking.
My prediction: large artist layoffs and management restructuring. American artists are expensive. They will take more asset creation overseas and replace management with their people.
