Heheh, thanks man! The sculpt idea is definitely something I'm considering. I'm actually talking to some people about manufacturing some of my characters in limited quantity, so I'm hoping to get the two things (book and figures) to happen around the same time.
Thank you everyone for all the help, this helped a lot with me decision, this community is great! I will be sure to look at the Zbrush station at the library. I hope I'll be able to talk to you guys again when i have some good work to put forward. :)
Jonas, you actually came to mind of the kind of alphas I was talking about, I'm interested in them actually, may buy some this weekend. I appreciate the opinions everyone, thanks a lot! Now I don't have to feel so insecure anymore :D
Hey mate can you talk a bit about your ex-freelancer life a bit. I stopped it before I even began after doing some calculations so I want to hear the story of someone who kept up with it. Thanks in advance.
Thanks MiAlx! I'll definetly check those out. The only one I could find in my previous searches was this one: http://worldoftutorials.freehostia.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=19&Itemid=28 So I guess fluids is the way to go!
Any and all feedback helps, thank you 1 - i agree, on my most recent model i made it a bit more blue hue back - is that better or are you talking the site color ? 2- good call 3 - I will have to keep working on it :)
thanks a ton seir. I remember when this first surfaced, was a great tut even if I couldnt read it. and it taught me my first three polish words since I could tell what deski tynk kamien meant by the pictures associated with them :)
@zetheros thanks a lot for your feedback. I will think about it. @GRAT0R thx, there will be some more details on the normalmap. As for the blade, it is a real world blade from the 14th century. I've finished now all the modelling tasks and will now focus on the textures (both are still wip)
Mr. Wild, Thanks for your recommendations sir. I'll give it a try. I didn't know what the hell you were talking about but a little research caught me up just fine. p P.S. Your sarcasm cracked m the fk up! :)
I am using normal maps generated in Photoshop. They don't show to much because of the low specularity of the materials. Your are suggesting to bake a normal map: Are you talking about the square texture tiles or the building in general? Thanks for the links, I'll take a look at them.
