@michaelmilette Actually, this model doesn't have UVs. I'm using Polypaint, which assigns a color and material value per polygon, versus pulling from a map. My next step is to retopologize it for the low poly and bake the poly paint info into the diffuse and spec maps. -

Okay. Update again! Full first texture pass is complete (mostly), going back for touchups / color shifts, and going to start refinining my alpha/spec and finally add my normals. Still need to finish the hair diffuse, but that's next on my list. Woo. -

Really nice work mate, have you graduated? I think that all models could use a bit more work, like UV-layouts, more work on spec-maps etc. Really nice sculpting skills though, lighting was really nice as well. -

Vig, his Videocard has OC from manufacturer, it's one of those versions with more power, you know :) , better for gaming. The graphic card works flawlessly, but for heavy 3d work is not very good, it's useless, it's just for games (to play them at maximum specs on 24"). -

I love the added contrast. The new shots also show some really cool detail. I think though that the bricks in the last shot are too large still and are facing the wrong direction, they should be horizontal. That spec looks delicious though and it looks insanely good. -

They have no definition? Looks like you're only using a diffuse with no roughness or metallic maps? /spec/normal Obvious seams on the one that looks like fire & the stone wall? Not sure what you're trying to capture with these textures. They're very unclear and need a lot of work. -

Wouldn't it be sweet if Zbrush5 had a robust painting system that worked with UVs as well as it does with vertex painting now with layers and saved masks. With a 1 touch export that would make separate spec, gloss, diffuse, etc. files. Edit: Saw popeye just posted this. -

soooo I guess I've had an IPS monitor all along and I didn't realize it? I've got a Cintiq 21ux at home and a 22hd at work, Wacom lists the specs as having H-IPS panels. There must be a better panel in the 22hd because the quality is amazing. -

What part about it do you think isn't realistic and do you mean the painted area or the bare area or both? Do you think its a texture issue or maybe i was too extreme with the render effects? The order is diffuse normal spec then gloss
