Really inspiring stuff. How did you deal with the 5-sided faces each sphere consisting of hexagons inevitably gets? Did you model special tiles for those faces?
Use the split polygon tool to split up the Big face on the side You cant use the insert edge loop tool properly on a face that has more than 4 vertex's
Just remember that the numbers mentioned are usually per project and per purpose. With Drake, they focus on really great cinematics in the faces, and animations, the body is much lower than the face in density etc.
Are you trying to fill the hole by bridging, or are you trying to bridge the two ends that stick up? You'll probably need to delete the face below (drew a blue squiggly line on the face)

Select the edges to straighten - Graphite tools - Loop Tools - Curvature - Straight. Does anyone know a way to constrain this to Edge or Face? (Edit Geometry - Constraints - Edge/Face doesn't work)
I think the face textures can look a little more on par with the body armor. As it stands, the textures are making the model really pop but the face still looks a little plain visually.
