Programming no, but some visual scripting like Kismet,Flowgraph or similar Unity Plugins would definitely be required to set up convincing demo scenes. -

Did some decal setup/work and added in some leaves and small grass (both leaves and grass are from the kite demo with a few tweaks). -

I have Win 7 64 Bit and TopoGun Demo runs just fine, it just seems to have problems with the sample files shipped with it. -

yeah I noticed it was gone too, when a friend asked me if there was a maya demo to use to learn. Autodesk killed the ple, sad day :(
