Yeah, I was really hoping for anything Metroid or Star Fox related. The 3d Mario game looked great too, but a new Metroid done by Retro would've really helped their cause.
It's the goddamn luchador freaking batman, wow. Cool stuff mate, looking good so far. The first eyeholes were more retro tho, but either way really great idea.
Liked the movie a lot, defiantly go see it if it's playing near you. The exterior shots of the moon and vehicles were beautiful; the movie had a very retro quality about it.
Here's a little project I did because I simply wanted to model something retro :) Modelled in Blender, textured in Substance Painter, rendered in UE4 - see all the photos here, and a video of the animated screen here.
New map looks awesome! (although I still wish it was circular) and I love the new retro muscle car Dominus. [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3YdFnQKf_Y[/ame]
Here's my entry - a beer-drinking slob with a heavily-armed, retro-fitted forklift :) WIP thread: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136334 Thanks for a great comp :)

Concept for the crew-return-vehicle. Old-school spaceshuttle cockpit, size (maybe a bit bigger)- and shape of the X38, and some tail fins! Tried making it retro, current-day, and scifi all in one.
That all depends on the nature of the game. You can easily create puzzle games and other, simple, retro style games in a couple months. sure, not a 'profound' AAA title experience, but those are still games.
