A quick real-time low poly eyes shading test in Marmoset. The depth of the iris and pupil is controlled by parallax effect with a height map. Colors of the eyeball is just a basic polypaint baked from HP to LP as a texture in MT3. Rest of the details and material definition comes from Substance Painter later.
@EarthQuake unfortunately, this did not work. Its so strange. I even imported this maps/mesh into Maya to see I got these weird lines elsewhere, and MT3 is the only place. I really don't want to rebake, because that means re-texturing. Is there anything else I might be able to try?
twis isn't one I listen too, but Dr Kiki is pretty hot ;) Personally, I do video podcasts, since my mp3 player is really a media player (with video). I frequent most of the Revision3 lineup. I also use Miro, which has a lot of good suggestions on it.
That was a really good article. Fun read. Not really surprised at the outcome though. Not only are people frequently exposed to masterful musical works through the world of mp3's and the internet, I could easily see myself not stopping or giving him much thought if I had somewhere to be. Too bad though.
Could someone help with the md3 tags. I have max 4 no character studio and every page i find about this points to a polycount page that says it will be back up in a few days but its said that for about 2 months. so if somecould tell me how to make the tags not import them cause as far as i know there is no importer for max…
This is a weird mix of game types... http://www.audio-surf.com/ "a music-adapting puzzle racer" http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=game&AppId=12900&cc=US # Play with any music from your own collection--the game supports MP3s, iTunes M4As, WMAs, CDs and OGGs # Valve's The Orange Box Original Soundtrack is…
Because I couldn't make it to GDC this year I decided to spend some time working on a new modular Mass Effect inspired environment. The original trilogy was the main inspiration and specifically the Grissom Academy in ME3. It was a fun learning experience where I really got to work on my lighting skills. Check out more…
My Cosair Force GT SSD failed after 6 months, Unfortuantly I had all my game saves on it... All gone sob! Skyrim, ME3, Simcity, etc. My fault, since I usually changed my documents folder to my data drive. (SSD was the OS drive)
Wow. What a coincidence. I was just thinking about this game on the way to work today. I said to myself "I should see if I can get that one out of a bargain bin someplace..." The music is awesome. I have a number of tracks in .mp3 and listen to them regularly while doing art.
humm... never used Accutrans or .cob format so I can't be that helpful with regards to that work flow. BUT there are easier ways to get models from Max to Gmax using a few plugins/scripts. 3ds importer v1.1 - gmax OBJ importer v1.1a - gmax Quake-3 md3 importer v1.0 - gmax
