http://www.gametrailers.com/episode/gametrailers-tv/67?ch=1&sd=0 Was this episode. He did deny working on CS2 though. Anyone else see a news post a few weeks back saying they were researching sign language for Episode 3? Supposedly between Alex and Dog.
You re-imported the model with the new smoothing into tb2 right? And if any parts are mirrored (although that doesn't appear to be the case from your normal map) you should triangulate before you mirror them to prevent different triangulation occurring on one side.
I will probably contact my course leader, so I might be able to use that in a lab. I still hope they will expand the license - I'm really considering switching some of my projects to UDK, since it seems more flexible than CE2 at the moment.
Moving into systems administration. This is too big for my hobbyist needs. I am selling the training dvd with zbrush. It's not worth me splitting up all the items. (also it was made for zb2) I think £200 is reasonable for the tablet on it's own and then £200 again for zbrush.
pedro, I baked it with xNormal and put it straight into CE2. marks, thanks for the detailed feedback, I'll try to fix as much as possible,. I might come back to you though, since I don't even know where some of the parts you mentioned are.. :)
Why would you want special software? Photoshop has photo stitching built in including distortion correction File->automate->photomerge in cs3 I think its the same path in CS2 and cs and I know it even existed in prior versions as well.
no that's the way to get transparency in pngs with CS2, I've been doing that with the rest of the 2d assets for the phones up to this point, so the method I'm getting the pngs is not in question. I'll have to wait till our dev guy on the project drops it into our game engine.
If you are a new zbrush user looking to do character work, I highly recommend Zack Petroc's DVD's from Gnomon. They are dated back to the late ZB2 days, but they still hold true and you will learn a ton, not only about anatomy, but also about a good ZBrush sculpting work flow.
I never played the first Bad Company, so I was just hopeful. I'm having an extremely fun time playing BC2 though, even without the prone function its addictive as hell. It will definitely tide me over until BF3, if such a thing will exist. :)
