I hope the Rooster can look more Cartoony with Huge Gullable Eyes - and With a Goofy looking Blaster gun- maybe shoots eggs or something? Splat Splat? maybe A small musket type weapon too? sorry about the sloppy-ness. Drew it with a mouse.. (Just an Idea)
seconded :poly142: that musket is lookin fairly aws so far too. Any plans for the cool intricate swirly detail just at the back behind the hammer there? (some cool high poly detail ftw ^__^) ...and that sword rocks (srsly, normal maps are working especially well, awsome job)

I'm working on a new game project and I thought I would share the player's weapon. It's a magical matchlock the player can upgrade in a modular fashion. Its suppose to resemble a really rough ink sketch and look 2D. Its about 3000 - 7000 tris depending on how many upgrades the player is using.
Wow, this is amazing. Great choice of item. Its like a musket had sex with a shotgun and birthed a mutant life-ruiner. Cant wait to see the bake! The back of the grip looks kinda like dragon-skin (the kevlar body armour that they are developing atm) Looks really "mean", youve nailed the concept.
I dig the chunkiness of the wood cannon mount, it'd be great to see some of that carried over to the stone so they don't look so pristine. You need some more cracks and chips on the edges, maybe some impacts from muskets firing back. The roughness value on the cannon's metal is a little too smooth I think, it almost looks…

Thanks for the feedback. I went back and added a little geometry to the boots to round things out, and widening the little belt loop/sword thing did seem to give it a little more "weight" visually.
