Practical Joke of the Day: Get some of your old clothes, and lay them around town (parks, sidewalks, front lawn and etc.) Sit back grab a beer and watch people freak out.
I was hoping there would be a way to do it without having to redo the UV's, I guess not. I initially avoided it because its waste and I thought it would show bad practices I will do that then
Honest question to the OP : do you want actual, practical advice regarding the best, fastest, most efficient way to create such models ? Or are you already dead set on the answer you want to hear ?
Well, this is an answer i was expecting and was afraid of. Yes - practice makes perfect, and i'm surely do model better with each finished asset. But I'm not a beginner and it's kinda sad that im not progressing as fast as it was in beginning.
Is that shot of your normal map edited, or do you not have edge padding? You say in the OP that you are, but it doesn't appear that way, and it's good practice to keep the "gutter" color as flat normal blue.
Decided to make another change to the colour scheme which I think works well. Will be posting more progress of the sculpt soon. Also, I really need to practice my shading a bit more.
Look at the included default maps, particularly the midday map. The AO is pretty decent looking. Also, it is good practice to use a lightmass environment color instead of a skylight, unless you have a specific reason to.
Hi there,I tried to make the sculpt somewhat stylized but it may seem a bit weird, my "style" i would say isn't that ripe i guess, i still need a lot of practice :)
Yeah can only agree with what slosh said. The gecko seems super flat. Also you should practice your anatomy a bit more, it goes a long way trust me! Keep at it!!
Initial Practice to get used to drawing Sion and trying to understand what makes him stand out (many rectangles) but these will also be used as a base to draw the skin idea thumbnails on top to save time.
