It -has- been some time. I have been using TexTools, and it has sped up my Unrwapping ten-fold. As such, I wanted to share with you my facade for Uncle Chow's. I am assured the characters say Uncle. Next, a Billboard about Meat. I really need to swap out that sidewalk texture I hate so much. -

I think it depends on what weapons you have. I had an empty torque bow, and a shotgun. Before I realised what I was up against, I had to try and scramble for a Hammerhead before going in for Ammo crates. I think once you know what you're going up against, and how to actually DO it, then it's so much easier. -

It seems like nobody has the balls to go all out Steampunk, it always has to be mixed with magic or fantasy. Re: Decals ( floating geo ) or cut decal in the mesh?
Well there wasn't any way to really do easy floaters with geo at the time, and I had other issues with having a detail normal map as well, all of which is supported now in Unreal! I have not seen his tutorial but I'm sure it's great. Most studios use different techniques, I'd try them all and weigh the pros and cons. -
